Shayna McCarthy

200HR Teacher, Power, Vinyasa 

After finishing her collegiate rowing career, Shayna, a Cape Cod native, deepened her connection to yoga as a way to reconnect with herself and her community. She was first introduced to yoga at the age of seven and has been attending classes at PYCC since 2017. With a background in dance and collegiate rowing, she brings a unique blend of strength and musicality to her practice.

Shayna is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher who teaches Vinyasa and Hatha yoga with a focus on creating space for students to feel both empowered and grounded in their practice. She believes yoga is a powerful tool for reconnecting with the body, calming the mind, and building strength from the inside out.

Her classes combine mindful movement, breath, and energetic flow to support students in moving with intention and confidence. Shayna strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students of all levels feel comfortable exploring their practice.

She hopes students leave each class feeling more joyful, balanced, and connected to themselves—both on and off the mat.
